Art of the Road to El Dorado

If you are more than 10 minutes late to the scheduled appointment we cannot guarantee your service. Chel is a native bored with her society and dreams of a better life. To obtain those dreams, she turns to crime by becoming a con artist.

She develops genuine feelings for Tulio and begins to love him, and the duo share a kiss and become a couple. Her local knowledge is key to keeping up the Spaniards' façade for as long as possible. She compliments Miguel and Tulio's characters well, as she is smart, brave, adventurous and a natural con-artist, just as they are and prefers to do things without any set plan in mind. She dreams of leaving her village and adventure into the outside world. Early concept art for The Road to El Dorado shared on X by Lost Media Mines shows Chel dressed in nothing but a poncho, which it seems she was going to spend a lot of the time not wearing.

Are diamond-like in shape - interestingly I found a similar design with sides somewhat concave in Maya earplugs dating to classic period. She also wears bracelets; I used two different designs, both out of jade. When Miguel finds out about Chel and Tulio's relationship, it tears a rift between him and Tulio. Miguel presumably thinks Tulio was double-crossing him when he insisted Chel was off limits and cheated him out so he could have her for himself.

Tulio leads Miguel to the realization that mixing Chel into their plan could be troublesome and they both agree that "Chel is off limits." Regardless of this, Chel successfully initiates a relationship with Tulio. She sees that in a moment that he is stressed and, takes advantage of it. She starts massaging him, and he is able to initially resist, but is lured into massaging her, when realizing her actual intentions. The two are later seen on the floor, with the room completely messed up, with what is implied to be them having a sexually intimate moment, and that they might be making out. Chel pleases Tulio, until Tzekel abruptly interrupts to find Tulio, and they quickly stop. Afterwards, Chel's pursuit of Tulio, though likely initially to be an attempt to con herself into a better and more secure position to escape, rather evolves.

I didn’t like the film too much, too many tropes and clichés one would find in these ‘europeans meet natives’, but my biggest complaint was what they did with the female lead character, Chel. So I decided to redo her design as a Maya woman in the 16th century to make it more historically accurate. In keeping with her original design, I tried to reuse similar colors, though the Maya had a whole host of colors to choose from. In addition, there were also multiple garments at my disposal, but I went with the two that best fit with her original design. I used the Dresden and Madrid codices, the murals of Tulum and Santa Rita Corozal and descriptions from the Relaciones de Yucatan (2 vols) as references.

The two outfits I chose were based on what she originally wore in the film. In it, she wears a ‘tube top’ which did not exist in Mesoamerica, and a loincloth, a garment only men wore. The top since it did not exist, was removed in my first design.

IL VILLINO ROSA – An estate touched by some of the most influential architects in Pasadena’s history, this San Rafael area home is a gem of Italian Revival Architecture. The estate is credited to the conceptual genius of Reginald Johnson of Johnson, Kaufman and Coate, Architects. Barring an addition to the North side of the house, between 1931 and 1956 by Sylvanus Marston, the house is reflective of Johnson’s love for the Mediterranean style.

One of the outstanding design features of the Hotel’s original administration building was both indoor and outdoor registration desks. Patrons driving to the Hotel could register without getting out of their cars and then proceeded directly to the private parking area in front of their living quarters. Chel's attire consists of an off-white tube top with a thin red stripe below the thick pink stripe, along with a matching off-white loincloth and turquoise bracelets on both her wrists. She also dawned a set of large diamond-shaped earrings the same color as her bracelets - though at times, she replaces them with golden earrings with small turquoise diamond shapes on the center. As an architect he was responsible for the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel Ballroom, and the Mediterranean revival design of wealthy locations in Montecito, and Santa Barbara. Today as inspired its history, the estate stands ready to blossom again as on the of the most majestic homes of Southern California. I used the Dresden Codex as a reference for this, which depicted the wearer topless almost in all occasions that used the hip cloth. She first runs into Tulio and Miguel when she has stolen some treasure from the temple and runs away from some guards. She then makes a deal with them (she helps them maintain their scam, and they let her come back to Spain with them). Throughout the movie, Tulio becomes attracted to Chel due to her young figure, and they become a couple. Chel is the deuteragonist in the DreamWorks film, The Road to El Dorado. The Road to El Dorado

As we mark International Women's Day with its focus attention on women's rights and gender equality, its inevitable that questions arise around the continued sexualisation of female characters. While the portrayal of women in films has changed over the years, there are still some questionable choices, even in children's animated films. Explore, create, and be inspired as we embark on a journey filled with limitless artistic possibilities. At the time of its completion, the 118 foot tower was the nation's tallest building constructed utilizing the post tension, lift slab method.

Character information

Creative Bloq is part of Future plc, an international media group and leading digital publisher. Concept art shows The Road to El Dorado heroine almost wore even less. The pictures on this page are a collection of artworks created for this movie.

The concept art has sparked something of a debate about which version of Chel is actually the most revealing. While the original art may have very vaguely had more connection to actual historic dress (and I mean very, very vaguely), some say it would have been more provocative. There were apparently plans for naked scenes with her body covered by something in the foreground. After their con is exposed, the two evade the guards and accidentally stow away on one of the ships to be led by conquistador Hernán Cortés for the New World. At sea, they are caught and imprisoned, but break free and steal a rowboat with the help of Cortés' mistreated horse, Altivo. In 1965, the Disneyland Park and Hotel celebrated 10 years of successful operations.

HAIR CARE

At formal ceremonies held in October of 1961, ground officially had been broken for the construction of an eleven-story, high-rise tower. The new building, the first major expansion of the hotel, was designed by the Los Angeles architects Weber & Nicholson and erected by C. These firms would oversee the expansion of the Disneyland Hotel for most of the next two decades.

On the occasion of this special event, the hotel announced plans for the construction of an annex to the tower and a new shopping plaza building. The tower would be comprised of vertical pre-cast white concrete, inset with charcoal-tinted solar glass windows. The structure would be accented with horizontal wrought-iron railing across the balconies of each floor. The Disneyland Hotel was designed by Pereira & Luckman Architects, for the ultimate in the guests' comfort and enjoyment yet with an atmosphere of gracious, relaxed freedom and individual privacy. The original blueprints called for 300 (later changed to 650) motel and hotel rooms, suites, and garden apartments. Included were plans for three swimming pools, tennis courts, a golf course, cocktail lounges, and four restaurants.

Eventually, she grows to care for the two con men and values them for who they are and not what she can get out of them. She eventually becomes attracted to the older Tulio after a short time of flirting with him. Her caring side also comes out when she is around children and animals. She is obviously unhappy as Tulio and Miguel meet Chel when she is fleeing El Dorado after stealing the golden head of a statue. Her parents and other family members are never mentioned or seen, hinting that she is an only child, and her parents are long deceased.

Eventually, she grows to care for the us two con men and values them for who they are and not what she can get out of them. She eventually also becomes attracted and genuinely infatuated, from previously developing a crush on, with Tulio, after a short initial flirtationship with him throughout the film. In her original design, she only wore a loose poncho with plenty of side boob and side ass visible.

However, throughout the film, Chel is mainly friendly with Miguel throughout the film, but is shown to be very vexing towards Tulio, wanting him romantically unlike with Miguel. Miguel decides to stay in the city while Tulio and Chel choose to leave. But during Tulio and Chel's departure from El Dorado, they run into trouble with their ship.

The trio escape El Dorado, and head back to Spain, much to the satisfaction of all members, most predominantly with Chel & Tulio. Over the course of the movie, Tulio as well becomes attracted to Chel, due to her young figure and personality, and two decide to become a couple. Other 1961 expansions included a new golf complex (covering an area of 40-acres) and a 13,000 square foot convention and exhibition center (built above the Hotel's shops near the main entrance on West Street). The convention hall became Orange County's first ballroom, the Embassy Room.

Agreeing to help on the terms that they agree to take her away from the city, she claims to Tulio and Miguel that she too has reasons to leave El Dorado and start an adventure. The complex was build by the joint venture 'Hodges and Vandegrift Construction Company'. Atlas Ornamental Iron Works did the miscellaneous iron and steel work throughout the project which included the signature, decorative iron beams that were key to the modern design of the Disneyland Hotel. Each video covers approximately 40 hours of design time and includes work in Illustrator, Photoshop, and occasionally our screen printing process.

While I could have replaced it with a top like a huipil, or quechquemitl, the netted top, or jacket-like scarf, none of these felt like a suitable replacement. So for my second design, she gets the sarong, which I felt was the closest match to her ‘tubetop’, as it went around her body under her arms. Given that her top in the film was so short, I did not give her the full body sarong. In both cases, the portrayal of Chel shows both how much and how little the representation of female characters has evolved.

17 Boldly Beautiful Dining Room Ideas From the Pages of AD

They'll give you all the inspiration you need to tackle the project like a pro. For an open floor plan, it’s a good idea to ensure the colors you selected for your dining area work with the rest of the space to achieve a cohesive look throughout the house. However, if the dining room is separate, it’s an excellent opportunity to try a bolder paint color than you have in the rest of the home. Once you’ve chosen the major elements, it’s time to complete the style with the right finishing touches. “The design style should flow seamlessly to adjacent rooms,” says Maurer.

What is the best color for a modern dining room?

Check out these modern dining rooms in a range of styles and settings to inspire you. Formal dining rooms aren't required in order to create a special place dedicated to meals. Take a cue from this stylish nook, and put the space you do have to work. Lea Johnson of Creekwoodhill Interiors crafted the dining room of her dreams and brought in plenty of character to the space through well-thought out out details. Going monochromatic is far from boring, as this dining room by Katie Hodges Design proves. The various wood tones add warmth and depth, and the addition of brown curtains ties the whole look together.

Keep it pure and simple

We love the look of this space – the contemporary sculptural furniture with the period features creates such a cool contrast. Plus the dark walls make the white chairs and the pale wood stand out even against the wooden flooring. To wow your guests as soon as they walk into your dining room, how about popping up a beautiful wallpaper as a focal point? It’s a great modern touch and if you pick a design that’s a single color it will be even more striking. Neutrals have their place – they’re calming for a start, which is always a bonus! They work brilliantly with pastels and here, you can see black used as an accent color.

But it’s still possible to create a dining space with wow factor that works as a successful zone within an overall scheme. When lighting a dining room, consider bringing a sculptural presence to your room with an eye-catching pendant fixture. Functional and attractive lighting is an essential feature of a modern dining room.

How can a modern dining room feel more warm and inviting?

Because while COVID-19 necessitates a limit on winter holiday celebrations, there’s no ban on toasting the festive season with your fellow co-inhabitants. For many, this may very well mean seeking out a cheerful, cozy, and, yes—colorful—dining room setup. After all, for a room that’s played many roles this year—at-home restaurant and makeshift office among them—the functional doesn’t necessarily have to mean boring.

Sophie has been an interior stylist and journalist for over 22 years and has worked for many of the main interior magazines during that time both in-house and as a freelancer. On the side, as well as being the News Editor of indie magazine, 91, Sophie trained to be a florist in 2019 and launched The Prettiest Posy where she curates beautiful flowers for the modern bride. ‘Create that wow-factor by mixing and matching your dinner plates, side plates, and bowls instead of sticking to traditional matching sets. This adds variety and interest to your table and allows you to showcase a breadth of different ceramic styles', says Lucy Ward, creative brand director at Trouva. Jessica’s beautiful country cottage in the heart of the Peak District was quite dark inside when they moved in.

A simple wood buffet provides plenty of drawers for out-of-sight storage and a tabletop surface to display art and accessories. A patterned area rug features warm colors that play up the table's rich maple finish. This modern dining space uses chairs with a slight build and a narrow wooden table for a minimal effect that feels like it could be picked up and moved ease. Warm gray and blue tones add to this easy, serene feeling, while a rug and a gallery wall ground the space and make it feel intentional.

You may have noticed that black is creeping into our homes more and more...We think it works really well as long as you balance it with other colors and texture. It works well in this dining room as the space is light and bright and the table and chairs have a curvy appeal - this is important as you don’t want too many angles with dark colors. The gorgeous pendants add that pop of color - you could carry that through into the plates and glassware and add texture with patterned jugs and bowls. Neutral colors and a mix of textures give this small dining room a cozy feel. Sleek black Windsor chairs juxtapose slipcovered chairs at the head of the table.

Ambient lighting can include cove lighting, sconces, additional can lighting, or cabinet lighting in a service area, like a bar. When choosing direct lighting, you generally take your cue from the table. If you want the family to linger over their dessert, make sure the chairs are comfortable and kid-friendly if you have children. If you’re going for the popular transitional design style of mismatched furniture, check the chair height to the table before buying them. Therefore, a table that is 48 inches or less will be most proportionate for the room. Dining rooms are no longer average spaces that see little use in an interior.

Going white on white in a dining room may seem like a risk—red wine and spaghetti, anyone? —but this space by Britt Design Studio proves the monotone style is well worth it. Johnson also created a dinning space in her basement, which just goes to show you don't have to feel beholden to the true definition of "dining room." This dining room by Kendall Wilkinson Design puts the bones of this historic San Francisco home to work beautifully. The home’s classical architecture is accented by a palette of cool neutrals with metallic accents. The styling allows the stunning crown molding, chateau windows, and tall ceilings to truly shine.

Note the armchair and leather footstool which is perfect for someone who has finished eating and wants to step away from the table. The Chinoiserie-style gray wallpaper idea beautifully clashes with floral curtains to create a busy eating area bursting with interest. To stop the room from looking too OTT, a simple four-seater round dining table is styled with Art-Deco-inspired chairs for comfort and opulence. Each room in your home serves a different purpose, and the lighting choices should reflect that.

There is also a white storage/display shelf placed right against a yellow wall, making it stand out from the surface. Whether you have a simple wooden table, or a space-age contemporary design, adding modern chairs can give your dining space a whole new look. Go for white ones for an effortless safe choice, but if you want something with a real wow-factor, be daring with a colourful design. With so many modern styles to choose from, you should have no trouble in finding a perfect match for your home. Due to the floor also being amazing (get your terrazzo patterned tiles on order) it’s best to keep the rest of the scheme simple so as not to compete.

Add Your Own Character

We spoke with designers about small dining room ideas that have a big impact, so you can you make your space feel grand no matter then square footage. The glossy white laminated table is topped with clear tempered glass and paired with 8 leather-upholstered cantilever chairs with stainless steel legs. Adding a bit of accent to the space is the media wall visible from the supper area, which uses mint green accent paint, and the round column clad with green mosaic tiles.

"Playing around with wall decor is always fun for me. I decided to collect and thrift some cutting boards and instead of using them on a countertop like usual, I added them to the wall as art," Sarah Reed of Arbor & Co. says. "This space was an odd size but that built in cabinet was perfect to create a traditional dining space to showcase pretty glassware." This space by Sarah Fultz Interiors proves there's no need to overthink things when it comes to your dining room design. A simple wood table paired with black chairs gets the job done beautifully while leaving plenty of room for creativity when it comes to tablescape décor. Color can be such a useful tool when you’re revamping a plain space because it can add instant personality and character. In this dining room idea, these chairs are being used as an accent to pick up the wall color and it looks great!

She describes the space as including "a handmade table my husband made, preloved chairs that are now serving there purpose right here and the collected pieces I hold dear to my heart." "This family-friendly dining space was designed with durability in mind without compromising on style," Cathie Hong explains. "My favorite part of this space was framing a landscape photo by my talented friend Jimmy Chung to bring elements of the outdoors in."

Go bright and breezy and max out natural daylight for relaxed weekend brunches, or get moody and intimate, and let the candlelight do the wafting for soirées. Hues of pink and orange bring vibrancy and energy to this nook, which features a corner banquette to save space. A bold print on the Roman shade and coordinating throw pillows pairs with shiny mod chairs to bring a contemporary touch to the corner.

The living and dining areas showcase a refined elegance, with a plush, gray sectional sofa and a pair of sleek, black coffee tables that anchor the space. Overhead, a captivating chandelier, a striking blend of industrial and modern design, casts a warm glow, enhancing the cozy ambiance. The adjacent dining area, with its minimalist table and chairs, seamlessly integrates with the overall aesthetic, creating a harmonious flow throughout the open-concept layout. Jeremy Levitt, co-founder of NYC-based design firm Parts and Labor, rhapsodizes about California’s beautiful landscapes, architecture, seafood, and vegetation. And people who live out east all feel connected to that.” At Pacific Standard Time, the team channeled that bounty through natural light and plants. Wu-Bower opted for philodendrons, ficuses, and monsteras, all native to warm climates, if not California specifically.

Rose Cafe opened nearby the following year with art and natural light to rival West Beach, as well as lots of plants (both on tables and painted on walls). While the scene at Rose Cafe was considerably less refined than West Beach, it perpetuated the cafe’s reputation as a community space, catering to Venice’s local hippies and surfers. Pearlman argues West Beach’s all-white, art gallery aesthetic, combined with Rose Cafe’s laid-back bohemia, formed the “genetic code” of today’s minimalist, feel-good style. “You don’t feel overwhelmed by its scale even though, at about 7,000 square feet, the house is quite large,” Jorge Pardo, an artist originally from Cuba, told AD in November 2018. It’s a place where you can leave your shoes lying around.” That warmth also applies to the climate of the home’s Mérida, Mexico, location, as well as its color palette.

“Because we have so many in the house in summer, we always plan lunch and dinner for 25.” While much of that entertaining no doubt happens en plein air, her dining room likely plays at least some role. Whether it’s consulting an architect, artist, or stylist, don’t be afraid to draw inspiration from other sources. A custom mural is a great way to ensure that a space is truly one-of-a-kind, as in this captivating space by interior designer Glenn Gissler. Artist Kevin Paulsen painted a unique mural that represents the history of Greenwich Village.

The latest looks for modern dining rooms see lively dining room color ideas and geometric designs taking centre stage. Carpet tiles are not an obvious choice for home interiors, but have been used to striking effect in this dining space. The tones are echoed in the curtains and upholstery; otherwise the scheme is white, for a relaxed, modern feel.

The Gucci store in Beverly Hills has its own Italian restaurant on the top floor. The intimate 50-cover eatery is designed to look like the fashion house's restaurant in Florence, with a marble entrance and tapestry rugs spread over wooden parquet flooring. California studio Archisects designed bright-blue alcoves and cedar-clad walls and ceilings for Madison, a restaurant and cocktail bar built in a former nightclub in San Diego's University Heights neighbourhood. Concrete floors and exposed pipes from the renovation have been left in situ while walls and surfaces are clad with terracotta brick and olive-pained stucco.

Adorning the walls, a vibrant and emotive artwork commands attention, adding a touch of artistic flair to the otherwise muted color palette. This bold visual statement serves as a captivating centerpiece, elevating the space and infusing it with a sense of cultural sophistication. These homes would inspire generations of the city’s designers, influencing both residential and commercial projects. But the elegant, minimal furniture and decoration still conjure home, at least aspirationally, for many modern diners. The May/June 1976 issue of Architectural Digest featured another one of his escapist interiors in which clients could dine together.

When looking to create a modern dining room idea, sometimes less is more. 'For a modern look, balance yellows with something cool like a pale grey or an off white. Try teaming this with natural woods and materials like wicker and bamboo as these will blend in well with the contrasting tones. As yellow easily adds warmth to any room, it can be particularly effective in a dining area.' says Judy Smith, color consultant, Crown Paints. Cool and edgy, the industrial trend is one way to go when looking to create a modern dining room area with lots of character.

Personal Navigators: Disney Wish 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral January 30, 2023

4 day disney cruise

For example, round-trip cruises originating in Port Canaveral, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, San Diego, New Orleans, New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico, often do not require a passport. When your kid outgrows the fun in the main kids club, don't worry. Know that once your child turns 8, you have the option of giving them self-checkout privileges. While kids up to 12 are welcome in the main Oceaneer Club, they may start moving up to the tween club by the time they are 10 years old.

How much does a Disney cruise cost?

For round-trip cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Brisbane, guests 18 years of age and older may purchase and consume alcoholic beverages without parental consent. An 18% gratuity is added to onboard spa, bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. You can always add an additional gratuity for any of your services or servers. While the three previously mentioned kids clubs are free and do not require reservations, the nursery operates differently.

Cruises

4 day disney cruise

Your suitcases will already be packed up and on their way to whatever your next destination might be. Disembarkation includes a quick (or sometimes not so quick) trip through customs then a bus trip back to reality. Like most things they do, Disney has thought of pretty much everything for your Four Day Disney Cruise.

Day 3 – February 23, 2022 – Nassau, Bahamas

Disney’s newer cruise ships, the Disney Dream (2011) and Disney Fantasy (2012) are 130,000-ton vessels with 1,250 rooms that hold up to 4,000 travelers. The Disney Visa is another popular credit card to consider if you are sailing with Disney Cruise Line. You can also bring nonperishable snack foods in original factory-sealed packaging if you want specific snack items. If you have a baby who needs special foods or formula, bring that along, too. If you don't want to lug a bunch of jars, you can request fresh, pureed vegetables in the main dining rooms and via room service. If you walk the halls of a Disney cruise ship, you'll see decorations on many doors.

Room service is mostly free (other than sodas or alcohol), though the menu is limited if you aren't staying in a concierge-level cabin. From room service to evening dinners, meals are (mostly) all included. In the evenings, you'll find included beer, wine and spirits in the lounge — which you can also take with you as you head out to dinner or to enjoy the view from the deck. While pricey, Disney concierge service eliminates almost all of the potential pain points of a Disney cruise (not that there are many pain points to begin with).

Youngsters ages 3-10 can enjoy Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab. Tweens ages have access to Edge, and teens ages can chill out in Vibe. Kids can meet and play with their favorite Disney characters and participate in activities like karaoke. Family-friendly sun decks with pools, waterslides, splash zones and wading pools are also included in the cost. For instance, many people drive to Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral if they already live in the southern U.S. Driving can save money versus flying, and you might not have to stay in a pre-cruise hotel if you can drive right to the port.

Some of the cutest Disney activities are also ones that cost extra. Kids who want more time with the Disney characters might be interested in the Royal Court Royal Tea — a tea party with characters for kids ages 3 to 12. According to planDisney (Disney's online resource for vacation-planning tips), the cost is $220 per child and $69 for anyone 13 and up. Each tea party includes a selection of tea and a two-course meal; every child gets an assortment of gifts.

Expect to pay $60 to $205 plus an 18% auto-gratuity for a meal at Enchante; Palo Steakhouse is $50 for a prix-fixe meal, but an a la carte menu is also available. When it's time to eat, three spots serve an included barbecue lunch, complete with soft-serve ice cream. Coffee, tea and fountain drinks are also included at Castaway Cay.

Get Started

A pro-level hack is to get Mickey churro waffles from the buffet in the morning (only available some mornings) and add vanilla ice cream for a vacation-worthy breakfast. You can also inquire about discounted upgrades at the port, assuming rooms are left unsold on your voyage. You also have your own check-in area at the port and are among the first to board the ship, which can mean extra time to enjoy having the waterslides to yourself.

You can make reservations to meet the popular princesses, but most characters are easy to walk up to and meet via a short line. Or, even better, you often see them roaming about the ship at unexpected times. A valid reason to want to sail with Disney is the onboard fun that awaits — especially for those who love Disney characters and stories. I can say with 100% certainty that if you enjoy a nice meal, this is worth the extra $45 once during your cruise. Your Disney cruise will also include a buffet known as Cabanas on the original four ships and Marceline Market on Disney Wish. The buffet is usually open for breakfast and lunch, though not in the evening hours.

During the evenings, dining attire in the three main dining restaurants is "cruise casual," meaning no swimwear or tank tops, but you don't have to put on a party dress. That said, many guests do dress up a bit in the evening, but it's not required unless you are dining in Palo, Remy or Enchante. However, on round-trip cruises departing European countries with a lower drinking age, passengers years of age can drink alcohol on board with signed parental consent.

These services can get busy during sea days on longer cruises, so plan accordingly. As with the waterslides, we recommend enjoying these first thing when you board if you want to try them without crowds. Otherwise, you won't find so many people in the pools on port days, early in the morning and right before dinner. There are thousands of people on the ship and only a few small pools, so plan accordingly. In addition to the included soft-serve ice cream and Mickey bars available via room service, your ship may have some shops with extra-fee ice cream.

You never know if there will be an unexpected situation or emergency causing you to debark your ship early and fly home from a foreign country. A hair dryer is provided in every cabin for your convenience, but you may bring your own as long as it meets the guidelines above. Guests wishing to consume wine or Champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corkage fee of $26 per bottle. On Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, the teen club has its own set of small pools at the front of the ship. Edge is a much smaller space, but tweens have tons of fun playing video games, having dance parties, doing crafts, playing trivia games and more with their newfound cruise friends. Technically, Edge is for kids ages 11-14, but you can get your 10-year-old in with permission — and once they figure that out, it's probably all over for the "little kid club."

But Disney's not a one-trick cruise line that's only good for one age group. It offers kids clubs and activities to suit babies through teens and has several adults-only areas of the ship. Its newest ship, Disney Wish, provides more cool spaces for adults than any previous vessel. Cruise fares with Disney can change based on factors like room type, travel party size and sailing date.
